Daniel Widdowson

 

ABOUT DAN:

Daniel is currently based on Norfolk Island, taking up the position of Station Manager for TVNI early 2011. This year Daniel released Debut Production's first feature length documentary, "Superset Me" which follows the journey of an average Australian male in the quest to become a bodybuilder in 3 months. The film explores the internal, external, psychological, and social effects of the sport.

Though he is probably best known for his work with Network Seven, having hosted Saturday Disney from 2000 until the beginning of 2007 and being part of the Ground Force team for two seasons. In that time he met some amazing people, traveled to many beautiful locations across the globe and hosted over 350 episodes of crazy Saturday morning madness.

Outside of television Daniel was also known as the voice to wake up to on morning radio show, "Aaron and Dan" on Hope 103.2 having produced and announced for 3 years. Many know him as Australia Day Ambassador or as a local pastor at Norfolk Island Community Church, and to others still as script writer for stage and screen including scripts for "Home and Away."

Some lesser known facts about this man are his finalist status in the "Young Australian of the Year" awards, finalist also in the "Young Australian Playwright of the Year" awards, and that he once ate half a litre of ice-cream in thirty seconds.
