Haiti Diary

So this is the part of my website where I actually get to write something myself! I have to say, I'm heaps excited and nervous about the upcoming trip with Compassion to Haiti. I'll be updating this page as much as I can with daily reports and photos.

The trip doesn't commence until April 5th, but here's some info in the meantime. The purpose for the trip is to gather information, interviews, photos, etc. of Haitian children and the quality of life they experience. Compassion day is coming up in May and hopefully the material gained will encourage Aussies to jump on board and make a positive difference in the life of someone who lives on the other side of the world.

I've also been given such an amazing opportunity to meet my son's sponsor child, Henrri. He lives in the Dominican Republic, so on the tail end of the Haiti experience I'll be bussing it over to Santo Domingo. I can't wait to meet him face to face, it's going to be incredible.

I'll attempt to make daily entires starting April 7.
